Will Black is a UKCP-registered integrative therapist working with adults and with a particular focus on diversity.
From Will:
For me, therapy is a regular dialogue that helps us make sense of where we are today. I have benefitted from it when both faced with a significant life event and as a regular practice of ‘tidying up’ the everyday noise of my brain.
You might come to therapy at a crossroads in your personal or working life. Equally you might be seeking help with anxiety, depression, bereavement, low self-worth or feeling a block. I create an atmosphere that allows an honest exploration of these to take place.
I have a particular interest around diversity in society, and relate to the Gender, Sexual, and Relationship Diversity model (Dr Meg-John Barker), which seeks to look beyond norms of gender, sexuality, and relationships, even within heterosexuality. My modality includes psychodynamic, existential and humanist elements, with the client-therapist relationship at its core.
I have worked for MIND’s Bereavement service and am currently an associate therapist at Gay Men’s Therapy. I also have my own private practice, and am a visiting lecturer in Psychotherapy at Regent’s University.
I am fully UKCP registered, and a member of the BACP.
