Stella is a Play Therapist, Creative Therapist, and Clinical Supervisor.
From Stella:
“You are allowed to play, talk, ask for help, and heal.”
Promoting children’s mental and emotional well-being it is not merely a job for me—it’s my calling. I have always been passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people.
With 2 decades of experience, I have collaborated with underserved and vulnerable children and young people, addressing issues such as:
Attachment difficulties
Children with additional needs
Childhood trauma (e.g., various forms of abuse, neglect, domestic violence)
Self-harm
Suicidal thoughts
Loss
Behavioural issues
Anxiety
Separation anxiety
Identity issues
Low mood
I also have extensive experience working with Looked After Children (LAC) and alongside adoption agencies. In addition to my private practice, I work for Place2Be and the Catholic Children’s Society, both of which are charity organisations providing counselling and creative therapies in schools.
Therapeutic Interventions and Trainings:
Child-Centred Play Therapy: This therapeutic approach allows children to use play as a natural medium of communication and self-expression. It is non-directive, meaning I follow the child’s lead in their therapeutic process. Through play, children can express feelings and experiences they may not be able to articulate verbally, helping them overcome emotional and psychological challenges.
Creative Therapy: Suitable for children, young people, and adults, creative therapy uses creativity to address deep-seated emotional and psychological issues, fostering emotional healing and personal growth.
I am also trained in:
Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT)
Therapeutic Life Story Work
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for Adolescents
Knowledge, Insight, Tools (KIT), a CBT-informed intervention
I am a member and accredited with the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT).
I offer interventions in both English and Italian. Feel free to reach out for an initial 15-minute chat, free of charge, with no obligation to continue.
