From Rhoda:
I understand that starting therapy and choosing the right therapist can be a challenging decision, especially when your issues can feel heavy and intense. I am committed to providing a non-judgmental, safe, and compassionate space for my clients. I believe that therapy is guided by you, the client because it is your unique process. Taking this step is a courageous act of self-discovery, and I am here to support you as you begin to understand yourself more deeply.
Dramatherapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses metaphor, story, and movement to help individuals process trauma, identify coping strategies, and build resilience. By taking a holistic approach to mental health, Dramatherapy offers a unique pathway for individuals to gain deeper self-understanding and explore their emotions in a therapeutic setting. Sessions may not always involve talking, and no acting skills or experience are necessary. Drawing from various creative therapies, such as art and music, Dramatherapy welcomes all forms of creativity.
As a Dramatherapist, my practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, culturally aware, and client-led approach. Recognising the profound impact of trauma on individuals, I create a safe and supportive space where each client's unique background and identity are respected and integrated into the therapeutic process.
I work sensitively with emerging themes in sessions, allowing you to connect with your emotions and utilise creative tools which aim to provide a safe reflective space, where you are seen and heard as you determine.
