From Pamela:
I offer kindness and compassion in a safe space where you can begin to explore your journey towards therapy. Working within an intersectional therapeutic framework, I will look at your diverse characteristics needs and in consultation with you, we will look at a range of interventions that would support you to implement safe coping mechanisms when you feel troubled or overwhelmed by difficult feelings and situations.
At times this may involve unearthing your past narratives which can evoke painful memories for you. However, through empathy and curiosity, I will hold you in mind, where our open and trusted relationship, will be a vehicle for arriving at new understanding and creating new meanings and opportunities for you.
Through a holistic approach, such as talking, drawing, mindfulness and somatic movements, I will provide a range of therapeutic opportunities where you can begin to explore your inner self that promote healing, recovery, empowerment and personal growth.
I have held various positions in Education, Health and Social Care, NHS, CAMHS and the VAWG ( violence against women and girls) sector, supporting vulnerable children, adults and families with emotional and behavioral problems, post-traumatic stress disorder, child/adult sexual abuse substance misuse and self-harm.
I have experience working with complex trauma Autism, ADHD and those who have experienced displacement.
