Nilima is a Person-Centred psychotherapist working with individuals.
From Nilima:
We will work together in a collaborative relationship to help you find your inner strengths and resources so you can develop plans and strategies for moving forward independently.
Person-Centred Therapy is based on the premise that people are unique individuals and more than just the labels our families, friends, colleagues, and society have placed on us. I am interested in how you move around in the world, rather than me telling you how you should be moving around in it. I will support you in processing your individual experiences and exploring what they mean to you, so you can have a better relationship with yourself and the people around you.
I have worked with services providing therapy through the NHS/IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) and low-cost counselling settings with individuals face to face, online and on the telephone. Most recently, I worked at a psychiatric supported accommodation, counselling those diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder.
I am a full clinical member of the UKCP and I work in accordance with their policies and procedures. I hold a Masters and Clinical Diploma in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy.
