Kate is an Integrative psychotherapist.
From Kate:
I work with individuals aged 16+ who may be coming to terms with the realisation that something in their life is not working for them, it's working against them. They want to come to terms with it and/or work on changing it. This could be a combination of issues. A past experience, identity issues, overwhelming emotions or relationship struggles to name a few. They want to live a life that aligns with them better, be present in their lives and gain resilience if life becomes difficult again. Therapy offers the possibility for this.
I specialise in working with people who struggle with emotions, identity issues, self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. Clients I see also tend to struggle with behaviours they feel are self-destructive. I aim for my work to intersectional and decolonial, recognising the power that oppression can have on our mental health.
I work integratively, blending therapies together in a cohesive and client led way. I work with DBT which helps with creating a better relationship with emotions and managing self-destructive behaviours. I also offer GSRD specific therapy which encompasses all genders, sexualities, sex and relationship types including kink/BDSM.
I hope to create a space where you feel you can bring all parts of yourself and every part is welcome. I want to create a collaborative space where you feel listened to and that we can work together for you to have a life that you want.
Please reach out if you feel we might be a good fit for a chat.
