Brigitta is a UKCP registered humanistic psychotherapist.
From Brigitta:
I am really interested in people’s unique stories and working collaboratively and compassionately to support them heal and grow.
Therapy can be daunting and overwhelming. Picking a therapist or type of therapy can be incredibly confusing at the best of times.
I believe good therapy is providing a rare space where you can feel deeply seen, validated, heard and held. We all deserve a safe space in which we can be authentic, bring parts of ourselves and experiences that might be hidden, shameful or particularly difficult to talk about and be met with compassion and without judgement.
In my practice my priority is to provide this space for you, supporting you as we process and bring clarity, self-acceptance and positive change into your life. You can bring your most vulnerable, most shameful parts of yourself and I will hold the space for this, meeting those parts with compassion, curiosity, empathy and understanding. I am here to contain, hold, attune, guide, sometimes gently challenge, facilitate and advocate for you, your healing and growth.
As a therapist, I meet you seeking to understand your story and where your wounds stem from, rather than suppressing symptoms or judging behaviours. I work in a relational, holistic, collaborative and explorative way, looking at your past, present, future, mind and body, as I believe these are all ultimately connected and inform one another.
I emphasise inclusivity in my practice, tending to and welcoming all parts of your unique lived experience and identity.
I call on a number of different approaches and techniques to support you in a way that is unique to your needs, putting emphasis on your safety and autonomy.
I have worked offering therapy to clients with a range of presenting challenges, including relationship/relational struggles, attachment difficulties, trauma, identity, sexuality, sex, self-esteem/self-worth, self-image, disordered eating, depression and anxiety.
